Understanding Your Payment Options

Insurance Reimbursement, HSA/FSA and Workers' Comp

Navigating the world of healthcare payments can be tricky, but I’m here to make it easier for you. I want to ensure you have all the information you need about payment options for your sessions.

Insurance Reimbursement

First and foremost, it’s important to know that I operate as a private pay practitioner. While I don’t bill insurance companies directly, many insurance plans do cover manual therapy sessions. I recommend contacting your insurer directly to confirm if they cover sessions. If they do, I can provide you with a superbill – a detailed receipt of services rendered. You can then submit this superbill to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

What is a Health Savings Account?

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged medical savings account available to taxpayers in the United States who are enrolled in a high-deductible health plan (HDHP). The funds contributed to an HSA are not subject to federal income tax at the time of deposit. These funds can be used to pay for qualified medical expenses, including Neuromuscular Therapy sessions, at any time without federal tax liability.

Remember, all of my services can be paid for using your HSA, making it a convenient option for managing your healthcare expenses.

Maximizing Your FSA for Healthcare Services

In addition to HSAs, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) offer another tax-advantaged way to cover healthcare expenses, including neuromuscular therapy sessions. FSAs are available to those with employer-sponsored healthcare plans, allowing you to set aside pre-tax dollars for qualified medical expenses. This can significantly lower your taxable income and help you save on healthcare costs throughout the year. Just like with HSAs, my services are eligible for payment through your FSA, providing flexibility in how you manage and utilize your healthcare funds.
